I have been busy with school and let my online ventures fall into disrepair, again! I don't really warrant the need to apologize as my fan base is minimal, but I do need start maintaining, and not neglecting in more than one aspect of my life. Things have been turbulent and intense lately, and I am doing my best to pull myself together. Time for some changes of epic proportions and to get on track with what it is I want to be doing.
This being said, I went to vote today in my first ever federal election. What a run around. I am really upset with how things are done. There is all this pressure put on people to vote, but if the government is going to turn it into a goose chase, people will quite easily become fed up, or worse pissed off enough to yell at the elderly. I was told to look up where I could register on the Elections Canada website, fair enough. Easier said then done. It told me to go to a small mall near my apartment building, upon reaching this locale I was then informed we were at a headquarters and could not register or vote in that location. So then they sent us to a secondary school to register and vote. Upon entering this location we were told to approach our assigned polling station only to be sent back to the original table in order to register even though I had informed the original clerk that we did indeed need to register. VOTING IS SO ANTI-CLIMATIC. I feel like because of where I am currently living they gave us a run around because they don't necessarily want low-income citizens having an opinion on such matters. In future, I would like to see a little more information available online instead of having to travel around the city for two hours only to end up a block from my apartment building to locate my polling station.
Look forward to my music review this weekend.
